Your wig is made from locks that people mostly donate through the Belgian initiatives 'Geknipt voor haar' and 'Geef om Haar'. These are healthy ponytails of at least 30 centimetres. The hairs are knotted row by row onto a fine hair net.

We almost never colour new wigs. To preserve the quality of the hair, we work with untreated hair and blend different hair colours during production to achieve the right shade. That has been the speciality of Fanny's Wigs for years.

Would you like to give an existing wig a new colour, highlights or a fresher shade? That is possible. We do colouring as part of repairs and when adjusting existing wigs, even if they weren't bought from us.

Certainly, in the first year after your purchase you even get these services for free:

• 1 full hair treatment: washing, conditioning, drying and styling
• 1 adjustment to your wig

If you go bald after chemotherapy or radiotherapy, or due to alopecia, you can get a contribution towards a wig from your health insurance fund. Think Pink can also support the purchase of a wig through its Geef om Haar fund. There are also various private initiatives that finance the purchase of a wig. That depends on the type of wig. We fully finish a wig from our stock to measure within about one week. A custom wig takes one to two weeks on average. For a wig made from your own hair, we do our utmost to finish it as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can. Before your hair falls out due to treatment, have it cut at the right moment — with us or at your own salon — and bring it to us. We make these wigs entirely ourselves from A to Z, and we give these requests priority because they are urgent.

Yes. Hair salons can add our wigs to their own range, with attractive purchase prices or commissions — an exclusive addition with good earning potential. We support hairdressers when a regular client suddenly faces hair loss, including our fast one-to-two-week service.

We work by appointment only, so that we can give every client enough time and attention.

Yes, a Fanny's Wigs wig stays firmly in place — even in the wind and during sport. It never flies off.

We don't recommend it with a standard wig. However, we do have a new type of wig that you can shower with.
