Hair loss due to chemotherapy or another medical treatment often comes sooner than expected. Did you know that Fanny's Wigs can make a wig from your own hair, fully finished within one to two weeks? Below we explain exactly how it works and why this short timeframe is so special.
With a wig made from your own hair, your hair is professionally cut before it falls out due to treatment and turned into a completely new wig in our workshop. So you literally wear your own hair, with your colour, texture and feel. For many people it is a way of preserving a familiar part of themselves during a difficult period.
The right moment to have your hair cut is before hair loss begins, usually just after the start of chemotherapy. This keeps the hair in optimal condition for processing. We are happy to guide you and advise on the best moment.
Just like our other custom wigs, we finish a wig made from your own hair within one to two weeks. As far as we know, we are the only workshop in Belgium that can offer this personal solution so quickly. So you don't have to wait long at a time when you could use a little extra support.
Sometimes the amount of cut hair is not enough for a full wig. In that case we blend your own hair with carefully selected European hair, mostly from Belgium, that matches as closely as possible in colour, texture and feel. This keeps the result as recognisable and personal as possible.
In the meantime you can also borrow a headband from us, so you feel comfortable and well cared for.
Do you run a hair salon and would one of your clients like our solution? We can offer this fast service then too, with attractive purchase prices or commissions. Read more about our partnership with hair salons and hairdressers.
